Tottenham complete £40m deal for James Maddison

Tottenham have confirmed the signing of James Maddison, with the midfielder becoming their third summer signing.

The 26-year-old England international also attracted interest from Newcastle United as he approached the final year of his contract with relegated Leicester City.

Spurs have reportedly paid a £40m fee for the midfielder, who scored 10 goals and provided nine assists in the Premier League last season. He signs with the club until 2028.

Across all competitions he registered 55 goals in 253 appearances for the Foxes, winning the 2021 FA Cup and 2021 Community Shield with the club.
