Tottenham coach Ledley King says manager Antonio Conte is eager to stiffen their midfield.

King recently appeared on Signathon to talk all things Tottenham and answer several fan questions about the current goings-on at the club.

King believes Conte will want to improve his midfield on priority, particularly in the attacking role in which Dele Alli is currently struggling to convince.

"We say we can always do with another striker, but it is very difficult to bring in a top striker that isn't going to play," King explained.

"Maybe in the midfield, I think that is an area where the manager obviously played, and that will be a very important area of the pitch to him. Maybe looking at an offensive player, a kind of number 10.

"The squad is there. We do have the players; they just need to play to their full potential.

"I saw Lucas [Moura] in the number 10 position last season playing really well. There is Lo Celso that can do that; Ndombele has the ability to do that also.

"It's difficult, obviously, [on] the wing I've seen Bergwijn, and for me, he was a very good player. We need to see more of him as he really does have the ability to take his game up to the next level.

"Sonny is obviously a world class player so there are players there and like I said, the manager will be working on getting this group motivated and ready to climb the table."
