As Real Madrid begin to make headway and approach a revolutionary summer transfer window, several high profile options are being put on the table.

Karim Benzema recently put an end to his illustrious chapter in the Spanish capital. The French sensation scored 353 goals and averaged a trophy every 27 matches during his 14 years at Real Madrid.

For someone with numbers as spectacular as Benzema, his replacement will undeniably have big boots to fill. Considering the stature of the ballon d’Or winner’s profile, Los Blancos appear heavily interested in acquiring the services of English talisman, Harry Kane.

According to Jose Felix Diaz, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is willing to let Harry Kane leave, as long as his next destination is outside of England.

Levy has traditionally been a tough negotiator and denied Manchester City from signing Harry Kane in 2021, despite the Cityzens reportedly proposing a mega offer of around €150M. Owing to Kane’s innate significance in the Spurs lineup, his exit has been difficult to come by.

However, with Madrid in dire need of a replacement and no direct rivalry with Spurs domestically, this strengthens their prospects of obtaining Kane.

While Madrid have been linked with several other attacking options such as Kai Havertz and Joselu, they have ample room to fill in their front-line as Vinicius and Rodrygo remain the only two attackers up front.

Arriving as Benzema’s replacement, Kane would potentially be able to recreate his prominence as he continues to be one of Europe’s most in-form forwards.

Despite playing for a side that struggled to dominate amidst England’s elite, the 29-year-old put up impressive numbers. Kane racked up 30 goals, only falling behind Haaland as the top scorer.

If a move to Madrid materializes, he is certain to guarantee goals. Moreover, Kane has been renowned for his playmaking prowess and ability to thrive in deeper areas of the pitch, which resemble Benzema’s abilities.
