Tottenham Hotspur have now been told they will need to pay around £80m if they want to sign Pedro Neto this summer.

Daniel Levy has not shied away from providing Ange Postecoglou backing in the two transfer windows since he joined the club.

However, there will have to be some consideration made if they are to pursue the Wolves forward over the coming months.

Wolves want £80m for Pedro Neto

It has been made apparent Tottenham are keen on the possibility of taking the Portuguese forward away from Molineux in the summer.

There is a belief Wolves may need to sell some of their better players in the summer to fund their transfer window, and Neto may be one of them.

But, it has now been suggested by David Ornstein, Spurs will be required to cough up big time with a fee in the region of £80m if they want the 23-year-old.

Although Wolves may need to sell some players in the summer, it is clear Gary O’Neil’s side will not be letting them go cheaply.

Big money on Neto

A valuation of £80m initially feels like a staggering amount of money which is completely unreasonable from Wolves.

But when you consider how they are probably basing their valuation off similar transfers, it is completely understandable.

Wolves will be keen to keep Neto as he continues to impress in the Premier League under O’Neil – who labeled Neto ‘incredible‘ – at Molinuex.

He has provided a seriously impressive return of 11 goal contributions in the Premier League alone.

And when you compare that to the £82m signing, Antony, who has returned just six goal involvements in the league since joining Manchester United, it feels a justifiable fee from Wolves.

It also has to be remembered that Wolves have to base the figure on what the player is worth to them. How much could it take for them to replace his influence in the squad?

Spurs have been there in the past when bigger clubs have came in for their star players and they have always been made to cough up.
