Tottenham Hotspur are pushing forward to sign Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel as they aim to bolster their attacking options.
However, the former Rennes man has not chosen his next destination, with Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United still chasing his signature.
Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou desperately need reinforcements, with their form in the Premier League deteriorating.
Tottenham have failed to secure a victory in their last seven league games, winning just once in their previous ten matches – a run that has left Spurs languishing in 15th place.
Injuries have ravaged the Tottenham squad this season, forcing the Spurs hierarchy to act decisively in the winter transfer window.
Bringing in Tel would be a massive statement, adding dynamism and versatility to their frontline. He is a rapid, electric, and fierce forward.
The 19-year-old Frenchman is a potential long-term successor to Son Heung-min. Capable of operating both on the left wing and as a central striker, Tel boasts immense potential.
While he may not yet possess the finishing prowess of the Tottenham captain, his attacking instincts and technical ability make him an exciting prospect who could flourish under Postecoglou.
Tottenham must make every effort to secure Tel ahead of their Premier League rivals and potentially add another forward to the mix.
Bayer Leverkusen reportedly withdrew from the race to sign Brighton & Hove Albion star Evan Ferguson. Spurs should seize the opportunity to strengthen their attacking depth.
With Dominic Solanke sidelined for six weeks, Tottenham need additional firepower to compete with Richarlison. Tel and Ferguson would arrive with a point to prove and could form a formidable duo in North London.
Spurs need to do everything within their power to fend off interest from other suitors for Tel and convince him about a move to London. They must also repeat the trick for Ferguson.
