Heung-min Son placed his hand over his mouth in amusement, and a quick glance along the substitutes revealed others also openly enjoying the moment.

Gareth Bale even motioned for an imaginary yellow card, clearly joking Alli had dived, and left back Sergio Reguilon was unable to hold back his laughter.

The good mood among the north London club's superstars continued well into the evening after a stubborn Marine outfit were put to the sword.
