Diomande reunites with head coach Bob Bradley, who the striker has played under at various points through his career including LAFC between 2018 and 2020. He boasts 24 goals in 52 appearances across all competitions.

“I had the opportunity to work with Dio at Stabæk and at LAFC, and I am excited to welcome him to Toronto FC,” Bradley said in a club press release. “He is a proven striker with vast experience playing in MLS and Europe. His smart runs, athletic presence, and skill to finish in the box will immediately impact our attack.”

Aside from his time in MLS, Diomande has represented a number of clubs across Europe, including Hull City, Strømsgodset, and most recently, Odds BK.

The 11-time Norway international will provide depth across TFC's forward line, where the club boasts elite Italian talents Lorenzo Insigne and Federico Bernardeschi.

Bradley is looking to guide Toronto FC back into the MLS Cup Playoffs after missing out in both 2021 and 2022. The Reds kick off the 2023 campaign away to DC United on February 25.
