Toronto FC and Ayo Akinola have agreed to part ways, according to the Athletic.
The 24-year-old has only made five appearances for TFC this season despite once being touted as a rising star in Major League Soccer.

Earlier reports suggested that Toronto coach John Herdman did not have Akinola in his long-term plans and a loan away from the club could be on cards.
However, the forward now appears to be on his way out the door on a permanent basis.
Akinola has scored 15 goals in 90 career MLS appearances.
