Torino are wearing a special edition jersey this evening against Bologna marking the 75th anniversary of the Superga tragedy that killed the Grande Torino team.
It was on May 4, 1949 that a plane carrying what at the time was the best club team in the world crashed into the Superga basilica overlooking the city of Turin.
The squad had won five consecutive Serie A titles, divided by World War II, and most of the players represented the Italy team at that time.
They were returning from a friendly match against Benfica in Portugal and all 31 people on board died, including coaching staff and journalists who were along for the trip.
The jersey is called Superga 75, produced by Torino FC and kit sponsors Joma, and only 750 unique shirts will be put on sale with a special edition box.
In order to highlight the importance of the original Toro jersey, the sponsors have all agreed to have their logos blend into the Granata shade.
They are playing tonight in the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino, named in honour of the Invincible team.
