Torino director Davide Vagnati slams Nemanja Radonjic for showing ‘a lack of professionalism’ and delays discussion of a new Ivan Juric contract.

The game with Salernitana kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino at 11.30 GMT.

The Granata were very active in the January transfer window, although perhaps not as much as coach Juric would’ve liked.

They did manage to resist a large offer from Milan for defender Buongiorno, although he was then ruled out for at least a month by a dislocated shoulder.

“We invested a great deal recently and did what we wanted to do, achieving the targets that were compatible with the technical, numerical and economic requirements,” director of sport Vagnati told Sky Sport Italia.

Some sales were sparked by tension behind the scenes, above all Serbia international Radonjic with his move to Real Mallorca and Demba Seck sent to Salernitana.

“There were those who no longer had the right enthusiasm to remain at Torino and showed a lack of professionalism. I am sorry to say that, but this was the situation.

“It is only right that we keep those who wanted to come to the Filadelfia training camp every morning, trying to improve themselves.”

The future of Torino is somewhat up in the air, as coach Juric expressed frustration at the lack of reinforcements and has kept vague about whether he will sign a new contract.

“We have not discussed the contract. I was rather busy recently, after all,” noted Vagnati.

“We will talk calmly, for the good of Torino, but also for the good of everyone. We will discuss it with the President and then we will inform you.”
