MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf W Futsal Championship delivered top moments during its inaugural edition.
Here is a look at the best moments from the top performances of the 2025 tournament:
Canada becomes the first ever W Futsal Champion
Canada showed resilience to rebound from its opening defeat to claim the trophy in the Final.
The Reds had standout performances by Esther Brossard, winner of the Best Player Award and Top Scorer Award, presented by Aramco with eight goals in six games.
Léa Palacio-Tellier, recipient of the Best Goalkeeper Award, also stood out with key moments like saving two penalties in the shootout against Mexico to decide who would advance from the semifinals to the championship game.
Mexico’s dominance across the tournament
Mexico finished as leaders of Group A with a perfect 3-0-0 mark, the only team to win each of its group stage matches, and a tournament-high nine-goal difference. Their largest victory came 7-2 against hosts Guatemala in their opening match.
Rosa Aguiar was a Game Changer, finishing the competition as one of the top scorers. Itzel Cruz and Ariatna Dorantes were also pillars for the North Americans to reach the Semi Final.
Honduras wins the first ever Play-In match
Honduras became the protagonist of Matchday 1 in the W Futsal Championship by making history as the first national team to qualify to the Group Stage with from the Play-In match.
Las Catrachas won 6-5 against Nicaragua in a thrilling encounter that needed extra time to be decided. Katherine Amador and Raquel Alvarado made the difference for Honduras to take the final spot in the Group Stage.
