Chelsea view Nicolas Jackson as a potential £100m striker and aren’t actively looking to sell him according to Mail Sport journalist Kieran Gill.
The Blues have once again been busy this summer and have made three attacking signings in Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens.
Jackson has found his future questioned following the arrival of Delap, and there has been even more speculation following his red card against Flamengo and the arrival of Pedro.
Both Delap and Pedro have impressed since arriving at the club, and for the first time in his Chelsea career Jackson faces genuine competition for his place.
Jackson is arguably third choice right now and there’s a genuine chance he could follow Noni Madueke out the Stamford Bridge exit door.

It’s been reported Jackson is attracting interest from Premier League clubs and AC Milan, although his price tag is expected to be out of reach for Italian clubs.
Chelsea are thought to want in excess of £50m for the Senegal international, who’s also been linked with Juventus and Napoli.
Jackson’s situation appears to be one to watch this summer, but Gill has now provided an update on the situation.
He took to X.com and said:
“AC Milan like Nicolas Jackson but move unlikely as Chelsea value 24yo as a potential £100m striker.
“#CFC not actively looking to sell as want Jackson and Liam Delap competing for No 9 position, while plan is to use Joao Pedro’s versatility across the attack.”
Chelsea take on Paris Saint Germain in the Club World Cup final on Sunday and Maresca has some difficult decisions to make.
The Italian will have Delap, Jackson and Pedro all available and it will be interesting to see which players get the nod and in which positions.

Moises Caicedo appears to be fit after a scare with an ankle injury, but it looks like Romeo Lavia could miss the game.
Maresca also has a tough decision to make in defence with Levi Colwill back from suspension and it’s likely one of Trevoh Chalobah or Tosin Adarabioyo will miss out.
