The Serie A have had a plethora of top-quality footballers participate in the league throughout history, with some of those individuals having been some of the best to have ever played the sport.

Indeed, the latest instalment of the FIFA video game franchise has released its ratings for the top 100 players and it is no surprise that there are some to appear rather highly on the list.

Of course, esports has become a hugely popular phenomenon in recent years – which has seen the rise of esport betting apps – therefore this FIFA ratings could prove to be crucial to bettors that place wagers on the action once the game is released.

Here are the top five players to feature in the game’s top 100 players from the world of Serie A.

Cristiano Ronaldo – 92 Overall

Unsurprisingly, Cristiano Ronaldo features as the best player in the Serie A with a 92 overall rating. Unfortunately for him, though, he is second on the whole list, as fierce rival Lionel Messi sits at the top with a 93 rating.

Paulo Dybala – 88 Overall

Ronaldo’s Juventus team-mate, Paulo Dybala, is the next best player from the Serie A to feature in the game’s top 100 player ratings. The Argentine has an 88 overall rating and has a dribbling rating of 91.

Samir Handanovic – 88 Overall

Slovenian goalkeeper Samir Handanovic is the first goalkeeper to appear on the list from the Serie A, as the Inter Milan ‘keeper is considered to be the best in the league. The shot-stopper might be approaching the latter years of his career, although goalkeepers only get better from the age of 36, don’t they?

Kalidou Koulibaly – 88 Overall

Arguably one of the best defenders to have played the game, Kalidou Koulibaly has been handed an overall rating of 88 – therefore also making him the best defender in the Serie A. However, it would not be a surprise if FIFA 21 were forced to make a change to the defender, as the SSC Napoli man is wanted by Manchester City and could potentially be switching Italy’s top league for England’s Premier League in the very near future.

Ciro Immobile – 87 Overall

The SS Lazio forward might be entering his 30s, however Ciro Immobile has been able to hit a real purple patch in recent years when it comes down to scoring goals. The Italian forward has been lethal for Lazio since joining them in 2016 after a spell abroad, having registered 125 goals in 178 total appearances for the club.
