Luiz Suarez joined Barcelona after an unbelievable spell at Liverpool, where in his final season, he claimed the golden boot by scoring 31 goals and assisting 17 in only 33 Premier League games.

Suarez made the move to finish off the iconic front three of Lionel Messi and Brazillian wonderboy Neymar.

During his time at Barcelona, Suarez got his hands on an array of silverware which included:

  • 1x UEFA Super Cup
  • 2x Spanish Super Cup

He would leave Camp Nou an icon, finishing his spell with 194 goals and 113 assists in just 281 games.

Between 2010 and 2013, Neymar was one of the most spoken-about stars in world football. At such a young age, he captivated fans around the world with his finesse and skill on the ball to simply be unplayable. Due to his consistently good performance, he received a Ballon d’Or nomination in 2011.

Neymar would get his big move in the 2013/14 season when he signed for Catalan giants FC Barcelona. The Brazillian’s performances would continue, and alongside Lionel Messi and Suarez, Barcelona began to dominate.

Neymar had 186 appearances for Barcelona, scoring 105 goals and assisting 76.

In his three years at Barcelona, Neymar won 9 trophies which included:

A shock move in the 2019 transfer window saw Barcelona sign Antoine Griezmann from fellow Spanish side Atletico Madrid.

Griezmann was in fine form and was consistent in every La Liga campaign scoring 10+ goals in every La Liga campaign since joining Real Sociedad in 2014.

However, Griezmann didn’t settle as well at Barcelona, having scored only nine goals in his debut La Liga campaign.

It has been a rollercoaster time for Griezmann at Barcelona as of writing, with the French forward scoring 35 and assisting 17 in 102 appearances.

2) Ousmane Dembele (Borussia Dortmund 2018)

After a statement one-year spell at Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona shocked the football world by purchasing Ousmane Dembele for a lucrative 125 million Euros.

Dembele at Dortmund in the 2016/17 campaign scored ten goals and got 22 assists in all competitions from the right wing position.

Since signing from Barcelona, the winger has faced a few obstacles in injuries and contractual issues with the club but is beginning to find his feet under the management of current boss Xavi and looks sharp.

In only his mid-twenties, Dembele still has plenty of time to reach his full potential.

After an incredible five seasons at Liverpool, Philippe Coutinho departed Anfield to take on a new challenge at Camp Nou when Barcelona broke their transfer record to sign the midfield maestro for an estimated 165 million Euros after add-ons.

Coutinho had a rollercoaster of a career at Barcelona, with the Brazillian getting 24 goals and 13 assists in 105 games but was a part of the Barcelona side that won two La Liga titles, two Spanish Cups and one Spanish Super Cup.

In between his Barcelona career, he had a successful loan season at Bayern Munich, where the German side won the UEFA Champions League, but now he has returned to the Premier League with Aston Villa.
