Former Arsenal defender Nuno Tavares is climbing the ranking for the top 10 performers in Serie A this season and currently sits second after providing five assists in the opening seven rounds.
Lazio left-back Nuno Tavares has had a stunning start to the season at the Stadio Olimpico after completing an initial loan move with an obligation to buy from Arsenal.
The 24-year-old has made five Serie A appearances this season, providing one assist in each match.
His average player rating from Italian sports papers has risen to 6.8, the second highest after Torino goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic.
The ranking on Fantacalcio, which refers to players with at least 50% Serie A appearances this season, shows that Milinkovic-Savic’s average ranking is 6.92, while Como’s Nico Paz follows the Serbia international and Tavares with 6.75.
Three Italian players also make the top 10: Juventus‘ defender Federico Gatti, Atalanta striker Mateo Retegui, the joint Serie A top-scorer alongside Marcus Thuram, and Inter star Federico Dimarco.
