Milan and Como feature multiple times in the list of the 10 most expensive signings made by Serie A clubs in the January transfer market, as they brought in several players to bolster their squads in the final days of the winter window.

The Rossoneri placed themselves at the top of such ranking by paying €32m to Feyenoord for Santiago Gimenez, which is more than twice the Lariani spent for Maxence Caqueret, who joined Cesc Fabregas’ side from Lyon to become the second-most expensive January signing in Serie A.
Unlike in previous seasons, the transfer window shut on February 3, with most teams leaving it late before securing the most prominent deals, as was the case for Atalanta, who signed Daniel Maldini from Monza for about €10m before dispatching Nicolò Zaniolo to Fiorentina, and Torino, who eventually completed Cesare Casadei’s transfer from Chelsea after lengthy negotiations.

Lazio, Juventus and Roma also signed some of the highest-priced players in the January transfer market, during which Como and Milan were so active that they got a place among the top 10 spenders worldwide.
