Toni Kroos sends message to taunting Saudi fans after Real Madrid’s derby victory | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Toni Kroos has taken to social media late this evening, to issue a response to the sections of supporters who targeted him during the club’s meeting with Atlético.

The latest edition of the Madrid Derby was of course played to completion a short time ago.

Ultimately, it was Real who emerged on the right side of the result, a pair of late goals deep into extra-time ensuring a 5-3 triumph.

Despite his side’s eventual victory, though, one member of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad who was forced to endure something of a difficult evening in Riyadh was the aforementioned Toni Kroos.

This came as midfielder Kroos was met with boos and whistles on each and every occasion he touched the ball on Wednesday.

Though it was initially unclear exactly why, it soon became apparent that this came in response to the German international’s scathing assessment of the recent outlfux of top talent for the riches of the Saudi Pro League.

“It has been commented that ambitious football is played there, but everything revolves around money. In the end, it is a decision for money and against football,” he remarked.

Kroos himself, though, does not appear to have been all that bothered by the treatment afforded to him by those in attendance at the Al-Awwal Stadium.

In fact, taking to his official X account late tonight, the former Bayern Munich man poked fun at the individuals involved, labelling the crowd an ‘amazing’ one.
