Milan defender Fikayo Tomori insists he never thought about leaving the club in January and feels he and his teammates ‘know exactly’ what to do to beat Feyenoord tomorrow.
The Rossoneri will host the Dutch side at San Siro on Tuesday in the second leg of the Champions League knockout playoff on Tuesday.
They lost 1-0 in the Netherlands last week, so they’ll need a win to qualify for the Round of 16.
“We must take the field with the right attitude and the same desire to win that we always have,” Tomori said at a pre-match press conference on Monday as quoted by Milannews.
“We know that the first leg didn’t go as we wanted, but tomorrow we know exactly what we have to do: win by two goals. We are ready and motivated to win.”
Tomori reunited with his compatriot Kyle Walker in the January window.
“Kyle and I talk all the time. He has brought some calm and experience,” said the ex-Chelsea defender.
“I think the whole team knows his quality and the trophies he has won, and we are happy to have him with us. When he speaks, everyone listens because we know the player he is.
“He’s not like Ibra,” he added, smiling.
“He has a different approach, but he is still growing within this team. Since he arrived, he has done a great job.”

Tomori joined Red Bird advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic for a pre-match press conference as coach Sergio Conceiçao returned from Portugal, where he had attended the funerals of ex-Porto President Pinto da Costa.
What will Milan need to beat Feyenoord tomorrow?
“After the match, we talked among ourselves, but we didn’t watch any video of the game because we had to focus on Verona,” said Tomori.
“Today, I’m sure we will review the first leg to see what we didn’t do well. Their forwards played a good game, showing aggressiveness in duels and making deep runs with the ball. We need to analyze what we can improve. The most important thing is to focus on what we can improve.”
Can they be balanced despite playing with four strikers?
“The coach always says that whether we play with three, four, or five at the back, the objective remains the same: to win,” argued Tomori.
“To do that, you have to run, fight, and give everything to win. We step onto the field, and the starters go out there to win the game. Whether we have three, four, seven, or ten attacking players, it’s all about winning.”
Tomori was linked with leaving Milan in January, with Tottenham among the clubs in talks to secure his signature.
“I’ve always said I feel at home here, and nothing has changed,” argued Tomori.
“I know there are clubs and people who talk during every transfer window, but I was and still am focused on what I must do: stay here. It is an honour and a pleasure to wear this jersey. I never felt the need or desire to leave. As long as they want me, I’ll stay here.”
