Roma midfielder Tommaso Baldanzi earned his first Europa League start for the Giallorossi last night.
The 20-year-old put in a convincing shift as he replaced Paulo Dybala in Roma’s starting formation.
After the game, Baldanzi spoke to Roma TV.
“We are happy that we are going through to the next round, it wasn’t easy given that they had 4 goals to recover. We knew they would push hard to try and score.”
“We were good at suffering, we could have done better on some occasions but we are enjoying going through to the next round.”
“There was a good atmosphere today, we did well. In managing the ball we could have done better in the first half, but our opponents pushed hard today.”
“As you progress all the teams are strong and the races are difficult. We have to think about ourselves and the league, after the break we will reorganize our ideas and try and advance to the semifinals.”
