While there is a lot of talk at the moment about Jonathan David and Serhou Guirassy, it seems that AC Milan have not abandoned the track leading to Akor Adams either.

TMW talks about the rise of Adams, who along with Victor Boniface and Gift Orban seems to be one of the Nigerian strikers who is competing with Victor Osimhen for the starting spot in view of the African Cup of Nations in January 2024.

Montpellier signed Adams from Lilleström in the summer for €4m and the gamble has so far paid off. The 23-year-old is 190cm of power, strength and class, with a goal scoring record that shows he is making the most of it.

This season, when factoring in his time in Norway (the season starts earlier for them) and the goals he has scored in Ligue 1, Adams is on 24 goals in 30 games, or one every 106 minutes. The report writes that he is a player ready for the leap to a top club, even after just a few months in France.

Milan have scouted him on several occasions in recent weeks and Geoffrey Moncada is well aware of his talent. For now, Montpellier are starting from an asking price of €15m but it is clear that they will need to speed up their pursuit so as not to miss out on Adams, given his price could rise and clubs in England will take note.
