Danske Women’s Premiership top-scorer Caitlin McGuiness bagged two goals to take her total to 16 for the campaign, Marissa Callaghan also scored twice, Megan Moran and finally Louise McDaniel also all finding the net.

The leaders’ victory was matched by Glentoran’s win against a resilient Sion Swifts, in a tightly fought encounter.

The reigning champions did take the lead through Kerry Beattie but her goal was cancelled out later in the first half by Swifts midfielder Kerry Brown. It took Caragh Hamilton to break down a stubborn Sion defence on 76 minutes, and following that breakthrough, Imogen Lancaster scored her first goal for the club to seal a 3-1 win for the Glens.

Crusaders Strikers in third claimed a 5-0 victory over Lisburn Ladies, Megan Ingram opening the scoring before Morganne Beggs made it two. A late first-half quick-fire Emily Wilson double made it 4-0, with Abigail Redmond scoring the fifth.

There was no shortage of goals in the other game of the night, as Linfield put seven past Derry City to keep their hopes of a place in the top half alive.

Ebony Leckey scored after just three minutes in a quiet first half, the game eventually bursting to life straight out of the blocks in the second period. Carla Devine scored straight from the restart, Louise McFrederick netted before a double from Sienna Leckey. Teenage forward Keri Halliday struck two late goals for herself to cap off a memorable night for the Blues.
