Tite is confident that Neymar will be ready for Friday’s clash with Costa Rica.
However, Goal.com is aware that Renato Augusto and Douglas Costa are the front-runners to replace Neymar if he is not fit.
Neymar skipped training after he re-aggravated his ankle injury, although Tite and the medical staff are optimistic that he will be ready to go on Friday.
Renato Augusto is seen as the ideal player to control the midfield and free Paulinho to get into the attack. Philippe Coutinho would then play exclusively on the left side.
Douglas Costa’s inclusion into the lineup would allow Tite to not change the Seleção’s playing style, especially in the offensive third.
The Juventus striker, who for many fans should have participated in the second half of Brazil’s 1-1 draw with Switzerland last Sunday in Rostov, is able to fulfill the same duties as Neymar.
