Neymar being announced as permanent captain is considered a controversial choice amongst Brazil fans, let alone neutrals.
Despite his antics during the World Cup, Tite told reporters at a press conference late Thursday night that Neymar is ready to be the leader of Brazil.

Tite said, “I announce the end of the rotation policy for the captain’s armband. Neymar has gained a lot of maturity in the past few years, I know that he is ready to exercise this [new] function.”
