Tino Livramento is now set to become one of Newcastle United’s top earners.

In a new exclusive on Monday afternoon, The Times report that their information is that a new enhanced and extended contract is to be offered to the 22 year old.

The report says that interest is said to be genuine from Pep Guardiola, with Manchester City willing to pay £65m to try and take Tino Livramento away from Newcastle United.

Signed as a 20 year old on a five year contract back in 2023, the England international is currently contracted until end of June 2028.

United paid Southampton an initial £32m, with the possibility of up to £8m more in future add-ons.

Tino Livramento has excelled in these last two years, becoming first choice right-back and then proving exceptional at left-back as well in the final three months of the 2024/25 season. Trippier becoming a regular again on the right after Lewis Hall’s season ending injury, whilst on the left we saw Tino become a key player in the Champions League qualification and winning the League Cup at Wembley.

The Times state that the new contract offer could take Tino Livramento up to the end of June 2031, a new six year deal.

I would imagine very few Newcastle United fans would be against the idea of Tino being rewarded for his contribution these past two years and recognition of his progress and how important he is to the NUFC first team, whilst at the same time making clear to Manchester City and any other interested clubs, that he most definitely is not a player they are willing to sell.
