Timothy Weah has joined Lille in a €10m switch from Paris Saint Germain.
Weah has signed a five-year contract at the Stade Pierre Mauroy and PSG will be entitled to 15% of any future sale.
“For me, Lille is the best club for me to progress,” the 19-year-old told the club’s official website.
“It’s a young and ambitious team: I know that Christophe Galtier and his staff are very professional and appreciated by the players.”
Weah – son of 1995 Ballon d’Or winner George – joined PSG from the New York Red Bulls Academy at the age of 13 and went on to make six first-team appearances for the Ligue 1 champions.
He has been capped eight times at senior level by the United States Men’s National Team and is currently part of the squad competing for the Concacaf Gold Cup.
The forward spent the second half of last season on loan at Scottish champions Celtic, where he scored four times in 17 appearances.
