Timo Werner 'on the verge' of Tottenham loan move

Timo Werner is reportedly on the verge of joining Tottenham on loan until the end of the season.

Werner has struggled at RB Leipzig since his return in 2022, scoring just 11 Bundesliga goals in 35 appearances.

The 27-year-old, who spent two seasons at Chelsea during the pandemic, looks set to return to the Premier League though on a short-term deal.

That’s according to reports in Sky Germany who say that talks are ongoing this weekend before a likely announcement at the start of next week.

Spurs are on the hunt for more firepower this month following Heung-min Son’s trip to the Asia Cup with South Korea.

Tottenham are currently fifth in the Premier League and reached the fourth round of the FA Cup after a win over Burnley on Friday night.
