During his time in office, Eintracht Frankfurt have qualified for European competition every season. The 2025/26 campaign will be his 11th in a leadership position in professional football.

He worked as general team manager at TSG Hoffenheim from 2015 to 2019 and was subsequently at the helm of the professional football department at RB Leipzig for two years. He joined Eintracht in summer 2021, initially taking charge of the club’s professional football department.

Board member for sport Markus Krösche said: “Since Timmo Hardung arrived at Eintracht, we’ve been able to build on our strong working relationship and accomplish a lot together. He has been sporting director for several years now, and as such he is central to our strategic and sporting plans for the future. We’re thrilled to have agreed a long-term extension with him.”

Timmo Hardung: “I’m delighted to be continuing my journey with Eintracht Frankfurt as sporting director and would like to thank the board and committees for their continued trust. The past few seasons have shown that, as a team, we can achieve a great deal. Together, we want to keep building on these positive developments.”
