Aston Villa will entertain Legia Warszawa at Villa Park this Thursday night as they try to secure a good result at home in the UEFA Europa Conference League. The Villans earned an excellent 2-1 win away at Tottenham Hotspur recently which will give them a ton of confidence ahead of this European clash in midweek.

Unai Emery will opt for a 4-4-2 formation and is expected to make some changes to his starting XI for this game. Both Youri Tielemans and Leon Bailey will get a chance to play from the start of this game.

4-4-2 Aston Villa Predicted Lineup To Face Legia Warszawa

Defence

Emiliano Martinez will function in goal for the Villans after shipping in one goal in his last outing. Ezri Konsa will play alongside Pau Torres at the heart of Emery’s defence as they focus on keeping the opposition attackers frustrated throughout the 90 minutes.

Matty Cash will fill in as the right-back while Lucas Digne looks to give a good account of himself on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will get a chance to get forward and express themselves in the opponent’s half.

Diego Carlos will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Boubacar Kamara will anchor the midfield with Youri Tielemans as they look to retain possession well at the centre of the park and orchestrate some inviting chances in the final third.

Leon Bailey will hope to put his pace to good use on the right flank while John McGinn looks to make a difference on the left wing. Both of them will try to stretch the Legia defence at every chance they get

Jacob Ramsey and Douglas Luiz will have to settle for a place on the bench as they wait for their opportunity to influence the game in the second half if needed.

Attack

Ollie Watkins will once again lead the line alongside Moussa Diaby up top. Both of them would be hungry to find the back of the net in this European contest this Thursday.

Jhon Duran will have to be content with a spot on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the final quarter of the game if Aston Villa are in need of a goal by then.
