Tottenham stars Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Fraser Forster feature in WhoScored’s Premier League TOTW

Tottenham Hotspur’s Fraser Forster, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min made WhoScored.com’s Premier League team of the week at the end of gameweek 27.

Spurs saw off Nottingham Forest in comfortable fashion this Saturday (11 March) at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. A brace from Harry Kane and a goal from Son Heung-min sealed the deal.

We led 3-0 until the 81st minute, where Nottingham Forest pulled one back through Joe Worrall. They then had a golden chance to make it 3-2 but Andre Ayew’s penalty was brilliantly saved by Fraser Forster.

A goal here, despite being in stoppage time, would have made the last few minutes of the game very nervy for us, especially because then the Tricky Trees would have also had the moment.

Great weekend for Spurs

Forster features in goal with a rating of 8.15. Kane leads the line and has a WhoScored rating of 8.59 for his two goals, while the South Korea international finds a place in midfield with an 8.32 rating.

Leandro Trossard, who provided three assists in Arsenal’s 3-0 thrashing of Fulham on Sunday (12 March) is the highest-rated player of the gameweek with a rating of 9.16.

The entire Team of the Week for this gameweek can be viewed in the image above. Kane and Son are more or less expected to shine whenever Spurs play well and win. They were instrumental in a big win which keeps us fourth – six points above Liverpool, who have a game in hand.

Forster’s inclusion, however, is something that would fill Spurs fans with confidence. Ever since Hugo Lloris’ injury just after the end of the winter transfer window, we have had insecurity if Forster will be able to step up to the plate.

The English goalkeeper has a lot of confidence and the 34-year-old has even said that he will do his best to even become Lloris’ successor in N17 in the near future. That’s perhaps a bit of an overreach but the spirit is there and that’s what matters!
