Three Premier League fixtures will be rescheduled to accommodate the quarter-finals of the 2022-23 FA Cup.

The FA Cup quarter-finals are scheduled to be played on the weekend of March 18/19. However, Premier League matches are also due to take place on the same weekend.

Four top-flight sides – Manchester United, Manchester City, Fulham and Brighton & Hove Albion – are still alive in the FA Cup and their matches will be rearranged.

The Red Devils outclassed West Ham United 3-1 in the fifth round, with Alejandro Garnacho and Fred getting their names on the scoresheet.

United were due to play Brighton in the Premier League, but that will be postponed due to the engagement of both teams in the FA Cup.

Erik ten Hag’s side will be up against Fulham in the cup competition, while the Seagulls will take on Grimsby Town who stunned Southampton with a 2-1 win in the previous round.

Marco Silva’s side would be travelling to Liverpool if they didn’t have the quarter-final commitment against United following their 2-0 success over Leeds United.

Man City’s league encounter against West Ham will also be rearranged, as they will be in action against Burnley in the cup.

Pep Guardiola’s side eased past Bristol City in the fifth round, with Phil Foden netting a brace in a 3-0 win.

Further postponements may also be needed when the semi-finals of the FA Cup come around.

The Premier League matches scheduled for the weekend of April 22/23 between Fulham and Leeds, Man United and Chelsea, and Brighton and Man City are at risk.
