Could Luke Shaw really play for Manchester United again?
The 22-year-old has been publicly criticised by José Mourinho a number of times now but may be needed this weekend against Swansea City.
Mourinho’s preferred left-back is Ashley Young but the England international suffered an injury during Tuesday’s draw against Italy.
He is confident he will be fit to face the Swans but has not been given the all-clear yet.
More long-term, Manchester Evening News report that three left-backs are being targeted to replace Shaw in the summer.
Alex Sandro (Juventus) and Danny Rose (Tottenham) have both reportedly been scouted but would be expensive, with Juventus unwilling to sell and Tottenham looking for a fee in the range of the €60m Manchester City paid for Kyle Walker last year.
A cheaper alternative is Celtic’s Kieran Tierney, who is also said to be under consideration.
