Borussia Dortmund will host Bayern Munich in the DFL-Supercup on Tuesday but they will be without Thorgan Hazard.
The Belgian scored as Dortmund won their Bundesliga opener 5-2 against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
But he also picked up a knock in that game and will not feature in midweek.
“Thorgan Hazard will miss out,” Marco Rose told reporters on Monday.
“He has injured his ankle. Otherwise, everybody from the weekend is still available.”
Emre Can, Mats Hummels and Raphaël Guerreiro will all also miss out.
Hazard’s absence could mean a first Dortmund start for €30m summer signing Donyell Malen, who featured as a substitute in Saturday’s win.
