Thomas Tuchel gives update on N’Golo Kante’s latest persistent injury | OneFootball

As Chelsea fans we’re so used to seeing N’Golo Kante come in and out of fitness that sometimes Thomas Tuchel barely gets asked about how bad the midfielder’s problems are.

When he came off in the first half against Juventus two  weeks ago, it didn’t look like a major issue. But we now know he’s out for this weekend’s game against Leeds, meaning he will have missed 5 games and counting.

Football.London had Tuchel’s quotes from the press conference where he tried to give some more information.

A return to training on Tuesday sounds good, although it would mean Kante missing the Everton games on Thursday in all likelihood.

That would make it 6 games, all from what looked like a minor issue. The team is really struggling without him, and it looks every season more and more like we will never be able to depend on him for a whole campaign ever again.
