Thomas Tuchel has big calls to make in his team selection up front and in goal – but there’s also an important question in midfield.

N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic will both be fit, and one feels they’re certain to play given their form.

But what of Jorginho? He wasn’t in the team against Lille this week, and didn’t even feature when Kovacic was withdrawn. Will Tuchel chance to a 4 in the middle to include the Italy international?

Jorginho will be in perfect shape after a week off, and Chelsea’s manager may just like the idea of having an extra body in midfield against an in form Liverpool side. But he might also wan to keep 3 attacking players in the side to threaten the Reds on the break.

Perhaps he will settle on the 433 he’s used in the last couple of months, with Malang Sarr and Cesar Azpilicueta as defensive full backs, plus Jorginho coming in as a 3? Then he can keep 3 attackers too.
