Atlético Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey is one of four people that reportedly bought a stake in fourth-division Spanish side Alcobendas Sport back in July.
The club, which is based in Madrid, was founded in 1995 and has been in the fourth division since the 2006-07 season, finishing seventh last year.
“I have joined three of my advisers who are also my good friends for us to takeover Alcobendas Sport to make it one of the great clubs in Spain,” Partey stated.
“It is an ambitious project but we have put together our plans of making it a success through a gradual process of growing Alcobendas Sport from the ground up.”
Partey, who is believed to be on £40,000-a-week, scored the 90th-minute winner in Atlético’s thrilling 3-2 come-from-behind victory over Eibar when they last played back on 1 September.
