Thomas Müller to make decision on career this April

As reported by Christian Falk, Thomas Müller will make a decision regarding his career this April.

Currently, the Bayern legend is considering retiring from football at the age of 35.

However, Bayern has informed Müller that they will offer him a new contract should he decide to continue his career for another year.

Müller’s contract at the Allianz Arena expires in the summer and it has previously been reported that this season could be his last as a professional and he will retire.

Speaking about Müller, Max Eberl explained:

“He’s an identification figure of FC Bayern and will remain so. He has experienced everything with this club. He’s extremely important to us. The talks with Thomas will certainly be very short. There will be no long negotiations. It’s just a question: ‘Hey do you still want to continue or you don’t? – and how are your plans looking like?’. But that’s still a long way off.”

Müller has featured in every Bundesliga game this season, mostly off the bench. However, with Jamal Musiala’s recent injury, the veteran has once again found himself in the starting line-up in the number 10 role, just behind top scorer Harry Kane.
