There’s a lot of excitement surrounding Borussia Dortmund’s signing of Erling Haaland and Thomas Delaney believes the teenage sensation is fully capable of living up to the hype.
Even though superstars like Robert Lewandowski and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have come before Haaland, Delaney feels that the former Salzburg man, who scored 28 times in 22 games this season, has that little something extra that separates him from the rest.
“The other guys haven’t seen too much of him, but I’ve seen a lot of him in the gym,” Delaney told BVB.tv.
“We can speak Danish/Norwegian together. Most of the other guys can’t, so that’s pretty good for us.
“It’s a long time since Dortmund had a striker like him. It’s always a real positive to have that kind of forward, someone who doesn’t just score goals and someone who isn’t just big, but also quick and technical.
“He has that little something extra.”
Haaland could make his unofficial Dortmund debut on Saturday when they face Feyenoord and Mainz in separate friendlies.
