Martha Thomas has been named in Scotland’s squad ahead of their double-header in the UEFA EURO 2025 play-off.
The forward played a key role in helping her country finish top of their EURO qualifying group as she netted five goals in four games, including her first hat-trick in a 5-0 win over Israel, to help them progress to the play-off stages, leaving them four games away from a place in next summer’s finals.
Pedro Matinez Losa’s side will face Hungary over two-legs in the international, travelling to Bozsik Arena in Budapest for the first game on Friday 25 October (5.15pm UK) before hosting the reverse fixture four days later at Easter Road Stadium in Edinburgh (7.35pm UK).
If Scotland overcome Hungary in the first round of the play-offs, they then could come up against Olga Ahtinen's and Eveliina Summanen’s Finland or Montenegro in the second round, with the winner of that tie securing their spot in the 2025 finals.
A regular for Scotland in recent seasons, Martha has 38 caps to her name for her country and scored 19 goals.
