West Bromwich Albion travel to fellow Championship side Bristol City this Saturday to face off in the FA Cup’s fourth round.

The Baggies were taken to a shock replay in the last round, as they came from behind to draw level with non-league side Chesterfield.

The replay at the Hawthorns turned out very differently; Carlos Corberan’s side made their quality count as they defeated Chesterfield 4-0.

Albion come into this game on the back of a 2-1 league defeat to Burnley last weekend, a defeat that leaves them 10th in the table, a point outside the play-offs.

Meanwhile, the visitors, Bristol City, also went to a third-round replay, as their first game saw them draw 1-1 with Swansea City. However, the Robins made it count in the replay as they beat the Swans 2-1.

As this game edges ever closer, here at FLW, we have taken a look at the possible XI West Brom may go with…

As this is the FA Cup, Carlos Corberan is likely going to rotate his goalkeepers for this tie, meaning Alex Palmer is expected to drop out and veteran David Button will come in, as the 33-year-old started the previous two FA Cup games this season.

Corberan could probably keep the majority of his back four in place for this game considering it is fellow Championship opposition. However, the one change he could look to make is bringing Semi Ajayi in for Erik Pieters.

It’s been an injury-hit season for Ajayi so far, with him only making nine appearances in the league. However, the 29-year-old did start the two games against Chesterfield, so it is likely he will come in for this game.

Into midfield, the West Brom will probably make a complete overhaul of his two-man midfield, as Okay Yokuslu and Jason Molumby are likely to be rested. Therefore, it could be an opportunity for Jake Livermore and Tom Rogic to start this encounter like they did in the previous round.

It is expected that John Swift and Jed Wallace remain in the starting XI for this game as their side’s most creative players. For Grady Diangana, he could be brought out of the team and be replaced by Adam Reach; the 29-year-old has not had a big role to play this season, but started in the last round and could do so again.

While at the top end of the pitch, Brandon Thomas-Asante is back from suspension, and considering the form he was in before his three-game ban, he could return to the starting XI in place of Daryl Dike.
