You couldn’t possibly suggest that nowadays.

Real Madrid’s defeat to Manchester City in the last-16 followed by Atlético Madrid’s exist last night and the annihilation of Barcelona at the hands of Bayern Munich means there will be no Spanish team in the Champions League semi-finals for the first time in 13 years.
