It might make you feel old but Paul Scholes has turned 49 today, and it’s a great time to remember what a brilliant player he was.
Scholes was renowned for many things; great goals, questionable tackling but mostly, his exceptional range of long-range passing.

The Manchester United legend won the competition twice, albeit he missed the 1999 final through suspension alongside Roy Keane. He made up for that, however, with a starting role in the club’s 2008 triumph over Chelsea.
