Championship side Reading have recruited Arsenal shot-stopper Karl Hein on a loan deal for the remainder of the season, the club have confirmed this afternoon.

The 19-year-old comes in to replace Rafael Cabral, who terminated his contract at the Select Car Leasing Stadium earlier this month to join Cruzeiro in his home nation following a two-and-a-half year spell in Berkshire.

Despite his performances though, manager Veljko Paunovic admitted that the Berkshire outfit would be looking to recruit another goalkeeper, even with Jokull Andresson and James Holden being recalled from their respective loan spells at Morecambe and Maidenhead United.

The teenager becomes the Royals’ first signing of the winter window having endured a reasonably quiet month thus far, although they will be looking to strengthen elsewhere and have taken former Coventry City left-back Brandon Mason on trial.

With this first signing through the door though, how have the second-tier side’s fans reacted to Hein’s arrival? Are they happy?

We take a look at a selection of responses on Twitter to this afternoon’s announcement.
