The last week was a pivotal one for Real Madrid and their objectives this season as they faced Manchester City and FC Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League and La Liga, respectively.

It was hard, but Real Madrid triumphed in both matches, beating Man City via penalty shootouts to secure a place in the UCL semi-final before defeating Barça 3-2 to get closer to the league title.

Vinicius Jr., who was a key contributor in both games, spoke to the club’s official media earlier today after winning the Player of the Month Award for March and insisted it is their time to go all the way and lift the trophies.

“This is our moment, where we want to be. We’ve had a very good and important week and we have to continue like this to take Real Madrid to win the Champions League,” said Vinicius.

The month of March was a productive one for Vinicius. In the four matches he played last month, he scored six goals, including two braces against Valencia and Osasuna.

As such, the Brazilian superstar received the club’s Player of the Month award in recognition of his good performances, having also won it in January.

Expressing his gratitude to the fans for the support they had shown him, the 23-year-old remarked:

“I’m very happy for the affection I’ve received from the fans. It’s time for the important games of the season and giving my best is the best way to thank them.”

Vinicius might be given a break tomorrow when Real Madrid face Real Sociedad in La Liga away at Anoeta.
