In a recent report, football.london stated that Bayern Munich talent Serge Gnabry has claimed that he would prefer to move to Arsenal if a Premier League return should happen.

It has been mentioned that the Gunners are planning to move in for a future transfer of the German winger whose current contract is set to run out in the summer of 2023.

Gnabry’s Impressive Numbers At The Allianz Arena This Season

Gnabry has produced impressive numbers this season at Munich as he has managed to consistently perform on the right side of Bayern’s attack. The Stuttgart-born sensation has scored 17 goals and created 5 assists over 45 appearances across various competitions.

The 26-year-old has performed astoundingly based on his average of 2.0 shots, 1.4 key passes and 1.9 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Bundesliga. He has even been tidy with his ball distribution after completing 82.0% of his attempted passes in the German top-flight football (stats via whoscored).

Should Arsenal Persuade Gnabry Over A Dramatic Return To Premier League?

Gnabry has got the pace to get in behind the opposition allowing him to create opportunities in front of the goal. He can hold the ball and get past defenders as he remains quick on his feet. On top of that the winger is also a decent goal-scorer and can contribute through assists by picking up his teammates over through-balls and crosses into the penalty box. The German talent is primarily a right-sided winger but is versatile enough to play anywhere across the frontline.

A wide player with such calibre would be an excellent acquisition for Gunners this summer, as that will certainly add more depth to the frontline. At 26, the German speedster is currently at the peak of his playing career. He can make an immediate impact at the Emirates Stadium if Mikel Arteta manages to secure his signature in the future.

Unfortunately, with Arsenal losing out on securing a Champions League place, their financial resources remain limited. Securing Gnabry would be difficult this summer, instead the Gunners might try persuading him for a future move as his contract expires in 2023.
