Things to know if travelling to the City Ground

If you are heading to the City Ground on Thursday, here is everything you need to know to ensure you are ready for your visit.
We’ve partnered with Trainline to give you discounted rail travel on matchday.
Trainline want to make it even easier to travel green. As part of their I Came By Train campaign to help fight climate change, you can save 20 per cent on your journey when you book in advance with Trainline.
After you purchase your match ticket, you will be sent an email with your unique discount code within one to two working days. Each ticket holder will receive an email with their unique discount code. You can redeem your discount code when purchasing your rail ticket.
Direct trains from London to Nottingham Station run every 30 minutes from London St Pancras International, taking around 90 minutes. Alternatively, you can travel from King’s Cross and change at Grantham, which will take just over two hours. Please use the National Rail journey planner to check for updates to the timetable throughout the day.
The last direct train back to St Pancras International leaves Nottingham Station at 9.40pm and takes just over two hours. The last connected route back to London leaves Nottingham Station at 9.58pm, with a change at East Midlands Parkway, arriving at St Pancras at 12.23am.
Return tickets to London are liable to sell out. We recommend you use Trainline to book your ticket as soon as possible.
On arrival at Nottingham station, you can walk to the City Ground in 20 minutes. Follow the signs for Trent Bridge Cricket Ground.
Alternatively, use bus services 5 through to 11 to stop within a short distance to the ground. Some of these services are available outside of Nottingham station. Visit Nottingham City Transport’s website to find a service near you.
You can get to the City Ground by exiting either Junction 24 or 26 of the M1 and following directions to postcode NG2 5FJ.
Parking is very limited on matchday and priority will be given to home supporters, costing £10 per car. It is first come, first served.
Brentford fans driving to the match are strongly advised to use the pay and display car parks approved by the home club:
Meadow Lane (Notts County FC, NG2 3HJ)
County Hall (NG2 7QP)
Cattle Market (NG2 3GY)
Lady Bay Sports Ground (NG2 5AA)

The away ticket office is located next to the away section. Ticket collection opens 90 minutes before kick-off.
Any duplicate ticket requests must be sent to Nottingham Forest by the Brentford box office. Please contact Brentford's box office with any inquiries ahead of the matchday.
Please remember to bring photo ID when you collect your tickets at the ground.
There are limited accessible parking spaces at the City Ground. Please contact accessibility@brentfordfc.com to book a space. Please note this is first come, first served.
The City Ground has multiple wheelchair bays and seating for ambulant supporters available in the away section.
Accessible toilets are available in the home areas only. Please speak to a steward if you need to use these facilities.
Audio descriptive commentary is available for free to all fans and can be booked by sending an email to accessibility@nottinghamforest.co.uk.
Meet other Brentford fans at the away fan zone at Notts County. The Nest (Iremonger Road, NG2 3HU) located next to Notts County's Meadow Lane Stadium is a 10-minute walk from the City Ground and is exclusively open to away ticket holders. The bar will be open pre-match and food vendors are on site.
Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem, a short walk from the city centre, claims to be the oldest pub in England and is a popular tourist destination.
There are many other options for food and drink in the city centre, but venues have the right to refuse entry to away supporters at their own discretion.
The away section is in the Bridgford Stand. Turnstiles open 90 minutes before kick-off.
If you’re staying the night in Nottingham, a range of budget hotels have sites in the city centre, such as Ibis, Premier Inn, Travelodge and Crowne Plaza.
