Thierry Small departs Southampton on loan

Southampton have announced that exciting teenager Thierry Small has joined Port Vale on loan for the coming campaign.

The versatile left-back took part in the Saints’ pre-season tour and featured in two games.

But the 17-year-old will spend the season in League One after a deal was agreed with the Vale Park outfit.

Small has already featured at senior level for the Saints, making his debut against Coventry in the FA Cup in February.
