Thiago Silva’s goal brought Chelsea level with Manchester City but also saw him hit an impressive stat.
Silva became just the fourth player 39 years of age or older to score in the Premier League era.
He joins Ryan Giggs, Teddy Sheringham and Dean Windass in that select group, which is a further testament to his incredible longevity in the sport.
Silva is now the oldest player to score in the top flight since Giggs netted in Manchester United’s 2-0 win at QPR way back in February 2013.
Age is just a number and the Brazilian is very much the Benjamin Button of English football.
