Chelsea have confirmed that Thiago Silva has extended his contract with the club for a further year.
The Brazilian centre-back only joined the Stamford Bridge side last summer but has since become an integral part of the Blues squad.

His initial deal was due to expire at the end of this month but Chelsea have now revealed that the veteran will stay for at least another 12 months.
The news comes just a few hours after coach Thomas Tuchel’s deal was extended until 2024.
