Thiago Silva confirms his exit from PSG | OneFootball

Thiago Silva has appeared to confirm his departure from Paris Saint-Germain.

The 35-year-old’s contract at the Ligue 1 champions expired following the completion of the Champions League campaign but there have been reports in recent days of Thomas Tuchel’s attempts to keep him at the club.

However, in a post on his personal Instagram account, the Brazilian has said his goodbyes.

Silva stated: “Today a cycle closes, after eight years at PSG.

“Here, we lived unforgettable moments, and we will forever bring these years lived in France in our hearts.”

Silva helped the club win seven Ligue 1 titles during his time at the club and has been strongly linked with a move to Premier League side Chelsea with a move expected to be confirmed in the coming days.
