Thiago Motta’s Agent: “Nothing To Links With Inter Milan At The Moment, No Release Clause In His Contract With Bologna” | OneFootball

The agent of Bologna coach Thiago Motta has made clear that despite rumours linking the 40-year-old to Inter, there is nothing concrete.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Calciomercato.com, the current Rossoblu coach’s agent Alessandro Canovi’s agent addressed some of the rumours suggesting that the former Nerazzurri midfielder and Italian international could replace Simone Inzaghi, also noting that his contract does not contain a release clause.

Motta gave his old side Inter a clear demonstration of his coaching prowess as his team snatched a deserved 1-0 win over the Nerazzurri at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara on Sunday afternoon.

Given that this result also put pressure on current Inter coach Inzaghi, there have been one or two suggestions in Italian media that Motta could be the man to replace the former Lazio coach, particularly given his own links with the Nerazzurri.

However, according to Motta’s agent Canovi, there is nothing between the former Nerazzurri and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder and Inter at this moment in time.

“At the moment there’s nothing between he and Inter,” the agent made perfectly clear.

“Thiago’s goal is to win his team’s next match against Torino,” he continued.

Canovi said of Motta that “He’s a coach who’s only focus is on the here and now, he’s mentally strong and has the backing of a club that wants to create a strong project.”

“We have a two-year project here,” the agent noted.

Asked if he has been contacted by Inter regarding Motta, Canovi replied that “I can assure you that the only positive messages we’ve received are from others coaches.”

“His only commitment is to Bologna, and there’s no release clause in his contract,” the agent added.
